Beautiful Souls

I am honored and happy to be part of a podcast series coming soon. The host, career coach Alison Cardy, posted a kind bio of me on LinkedIn this morning. You can read it here.

An extraordinary man

In June 2020, not long after George Floyd was killed by Minneapolis police, I spoke over Zoom with my very good friend Jim McDaniel. I think you will be impressed with his life story and what he has done to help the poor across the street and around the world, as the late pastor of Nativity Catholic Church, Father Richard Martin, encouraged all to do.

Belong

Recently, I watched a webinar about the response of the Catholic Church in the United States to racism and White nationalism. The featured speaker was Father Bryan Massengale, and he said this, “White nationalism is not about hate; it’s about who belongs.” In-groups and out-groups are a part of every human interaction, from high school cliques to Fortune 500 companies. With this blog, I intend to have conversations that can change our ideas about who is in and who is out, and, perhaps, move us closer to breaking down the barriers that racism and exclusion create between people.
